FID Media: Workshop "Von digitalen Korpora zu Forschungsdaten in der KMW" | May 29th, 2026

The Discipline-Specific Information Service for Communication and Media Studies (FID Media) is hosting a one-day in-person workshop on May 29th at the University Library of Leipzig on the topic “From Digital Corpora to Research Data in Communication and Media Studies: Responsibility, Methods, Infrastructures.” The workshop will address the question of how digital communication data can be collected, documented, and made available for long-term scholarly use. Experts from the fields of communication and media studies, data studies, and research infrastructures will discuss key challenges in corpus creation, documentation, and reuse throughout the research process, as well as the potential of interconnecting these areas to open up new analytical perspectives.
