The workshop provides an insight into the topic of "research data management".
In a combination of presentation and discussion, we will explore the following questions with you:
- What is behind the term research data management?
 - How does good data management of digital data succeed and what is actually "fair" data?
 - What are the requirements of the various funding organisations when dealing with research data?
 - Why do you need a data management plan?
 - What options are there for sustainably securing research data?
 - What metadata standards are there?
 - How can research data be published, what licences are available and where can I get information?

In addition, we will present our services in the area of RDM, which are available to you as a researcher at the University of Bayreuth. The workshop is aimed at participants who want to get a first overview of the different topics of RDM.
