Love Data Week 2026: Escape Game "Mission FDM"
February, 10th and 11th, 2026
Main Library
As part of the international “Love Data Week,” the FDM@UBT team is once again inviting participants to learn about research data management and its various requirements. In keeping with the motto “Where's the data?”, participants will explore the life cycle of research data as a fictional research team using a map-based game and receive valuable tips on what to consider at each step. The goal is to create a “roadmap” within the given time frame that can support in the future work with research data.
The offer is aimed particularly at master's students and early-career researchers who have had little experience with the topic of “research data management” to date, but is open to anyone interested.
The event will take place in the Central Library and will be offered on a total of four dates. The game can be played in either English or German:
- Tuesday, February 10, at 10:00 a.m.
- Tuesday, February 10, at 2:00 p.m.
- Wednesday, February 11, at 10:00 a.m.
- Wednesday, February 11, at 2:00 p.m.
The meeting point for all sessions is the circulation desk in the Main Library. The game can be played alone or in groups and lasts around 90 minutes in total. Anyone interested is asked to register via Moodle (minimum number of participants per session: 2)
